It appears that my site is back up; after three days of trying to correct the problem. The error was a ’simple’ one, seemingly caused by an electronic burp while trying to upgrade Wordpress to a more recent version. However, apparently, threatened by my attempt to modernize it, the Wordpress program did what any good worker in cubicle land would do – it refused to work, but it also stubbornly refused to allow itself to be replaced. As a result, my site, just like any bureaucracy worth its salt, ground to a halt. I tried to fix it myself but hit an administrative wall that could only be breached by the folks at my hosting server. So after multiple emails and phone calls to the IT guys at GoDaddy, they finally gave me the ability to kill off the old version and upload a new one, and I’m back to my annoying old self.
But considering that the whole thing is just a collection of ones and zeros, it’s amazing that all the files communicate with each other as well as they do, and that such tech glitches aren’t the rule rather than the exception. So, anyway, Happy New Year’s Eve!

)
Wishing you a happy 2010.
So glad you fixed your glitch! It’s encouraging to hear that you got hold of someone at GoDaddy in the middle of the holidays.
I missed my chance to comment on the free-range venison post. I’ve decided if it’s okay with Barbara Kingsolver (Animal, Vegetable, Miracle), it surely ought to be fine by me. Just saw “Avatar” yesterday and was reminded of the way Native Americans say a prayer of thanks to their prey.
Happy New Year!
Glad to see that you have resolved your tech problems.
Randomly….I want to thank you again for the intro to Sheria. She’s classing up my site with her comments brilliantly. Hope that Dragon Luck is working for you so far.
