I’m taking my usual lunch break, eating at my desk, perusing the news. Most of the time is spent gathering more details of the debate over the bailout. (Incidentally, I made a rare call to my Congressman this morning, encouraging him to push for a long thorough look at any bailout agreement before signing on.) Apparently, increasing numbers of Americans feel the same way.
But, while surfing, I came across this tape of Rush Limbaugh from yesterday. As a seasoned veteran, with years of listening to the other side’s lies, I have a pretty high tolerance for their attempts to sway the uneducated by bending the truth. But my ‘pants on fire’ alarm simply exploded on this one.
Give a listen. It would be funny if there weren’t people who believe him.

Rush is my favorite idiot on the air. Always makes me laugh in a “whistling in the dark’ kind of way. He is really only scary because he represents the few thoughts on politics my neighbors have. Fortunately they don’t vote, so I don’t worry too much.
ps. How did you do with the dehydrator this year? And rain catchment, and the garden, and are you ready for a goat? I have almost talked the folks at Poor Richards into a goat (still have a couple I need to send on).
Hope you are finding time to enjoy tp. when you are brave you can try c dL.
Cheers,
A
Ugh, I can hear his voice in my head saying those things, and my brain wants to explode. He could recite “Mary Had a Little Lamb” and it would piss me off. Ha!

Speaking of scary political statements…I was handed a flyer on my way back to my office at lunch time stating that Lyndon LaRouche warned that “a desperate Bush administration, and what it’s tied to internationally, might try to make a military suppression of resistance to their policy. They might try to us military force, to force through the kind of legislation, the bailout, which is being attempted now.”
Very strange.
Hey Jack,
Missing you! If you don’t start posting again soon I’m going to have to start writing about politics. We both know that wouldn’t be a good thing.
Hope life gives you a break soon.
